Stamps Offence Explodes In Ottawa
The Stampeders are leaving Ottawa with the season-series victory.
They took down the Redblacks for a second straight week by a score of 45-31 in thrilling fashion on Saturday afternoon. The Stamps improved their record to 7-8 on the season and have posted 30 or more points in nine games this season. Pivot Vernon Adams Jr. threw for 422 yards and three touchdowns en route to the win. Deonta McMahon put together another good showing, scoring two touchdowns in his second start in the Red and White.
Receiver Jalen Philpot set a new milestone in the tilt, reaching 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his CFL career.

Calgary opened up the scoring on their first drive after a big 45-yard reception from Clark Barnes to put the Stamps in Redblacks territory.
VA followed that up with a 12-yard passing touchdown to McMahon for a quick 7-0 lead.
The golden boot of Rene Paredes extended the lead in the second quarter with a 40-yard field goal.
Not long after, Tyreik McAllister added to the total after breaking loose for a 28-yard rushing touchdown to make it 18-6 for the Red and White.
The next defensive drive, Anthony Johnson kept the momentum going by picking up his fourth interception of the season.
The Stamps snuck in one more touchdown before halftime. McMahon found the end zone for the second time in the game with a four-yard rush. Calgary went into halftime up 25-13.
Paredes and the Stampeders added to the lead early in the third quarter after he nailed a 49-yard field goal.
The offence didn’t stop there. VA tacked on another touchdown pass when he connected with Tevin Jones in the dying seconds of the third on a 15-yard reception to extend the lead to 35-13.
The final stamp was put on the game when Adams found Barnes for a 60-yard touchdown to close out the win.

The Stamps are on the road for another two games, starting in Week 18 at Mosaic Stadium against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Kickoff for the West-Division showdown is set for 7:30 p.m.
The Red and White will return home to McMahon Stadium in Week 20 for their final regular season game against the BC Lions.
