The magic of El Matador continued last week after Rene Paredes was tasked with kicking a 62-yard field goal with the Stamps down by one on the game’s final play. The 41-year-old and 15-year veteran split the uprights with ease, going down in history with the longest-ever field goal by a Stampeder and the longest buzzer-beater the CFL has ever seen. It was also the league’s third-longest make ever recorded. Paredes now has 13-game winning kicks as time expired throughout his 15 seasons.

Stamps: DB Zy Alexander: The rookie halfback recorded his fifth interception of the season in Week 16, snagging the Justin Hardy tipped ball out of the air. He is tied with Ben Labrosse for the team lead in interceptions, and both are tied for second in the CFL with Hamilton's Stavros Katsantonis.
Redblacks: REC Keelan White: The second-year Canadian hauled in three touchdowns last week for his first career hat trick.
